The Agilent 8756A, Scalar Network Analyzer, is a powerful, easy to use, dual channel scalar network analyzer which is well suited for insertion loss and gain, return loss, and absolute power measurements to be made quickly and accurately. Easy five key operation is made even simpler using the "Autoscale" key which sets up the analyzer for optimum scaling and reference level.
The 8756A is a Scalar Network Analyzer using 11664-series detectors and 85027-series Reflectometer Bridges. It contains an independent gpib controller designed to control an 8350B Sweep Oscillator mainframe and 835xx-series RF Plug-in. Available modulator outputs permit the use of 8340/8341-series synthesizers for enhanced frequency accuracy. The system operates from 10 MHz to 40 GHz, depending upon detectors and bridge selected. It has three channels for independent or ratioed measurents over a 60 dB dynamic range. It is suitable for performing scalar measurements of components or networks.
